  • Mildew can be nearly any color-black, orange, green or white

1. Remove old caulk, loose grout, etc., especially any pockets of mildew.

2. If the caulk that you just removed was silicone, you must eliminate all residues or your new sealant will not adhere well. Use a silicone remover such as McKanica® Silicone Caulk Remover*.

3. Sanitize the area with a household bleach mixture (1:9 bleach to water) to kill any existing mildew. Work the mixture into the joint and scrub well using a brush.

4. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.

5. Trim the nozzle at an angle to desired bead size.

6. Squeeze MildewFree into the joint.

7. Smooth the bead with a wet foam brush, putty knife or finger.

8. Clean up with soap and water.Allow a minimum of 24-48 hours before exposure to water.
